OUR PROGRAMS
Our Programs
The MSC Action Fund incubates and accelerates the work of our partners. Our values-aligned model rejects a one-size-fits-all approach by customizing programs and services to sustain each partner based on their unique advocacy needs. Our deep-rooted mutual connections seed a larger movement and ecosystem and fosters collaboration, cross-pollination, and evolution that defies systemic racism in philanthropy. These efforts support campaigns and political engagement for electoral justice, and, our affiliated 501(c)3 organization, Movement Strategy Center, can be used as a tool to amplify impact and build political power.

Fiscal Sponsorship
MSC’s Fiscal Sponsorship programs are uniquely designed to support movement building and are home to visionaries, leaders, social entrepreneurs, collaboratives, initiatives, and networks in support of local and national organizing and community-based projects and strategies. We use a network-centered approach with services designed to address a community’s need for resources with accessible and transparent infrastructure services. Collaborate with us.

Collaborative Funds
Our Collaborative Fund program is an effort that works with both individual and institutional wealth holders who believe advocacy is a critical investment and want to address the growing need to support grassroots frontline work and advocacy through community-advised loan and equity funds, mutual aid networks, and donor collaboratives. This program benefits communities and groups who are limited in how they can access resources from funders by moving capital quickly and equitably while shifting power, discretion, and control from donors to communities. Collaborate with us.

Participatory Grantmaking
MSC partners with institutional and government funding agencies to design and implement participatory processes for wealth and resource redistribution for advocacy efforts. Rooted in the belief that those closest to the problem should be central in crafting the solutions that govern their lives, MSC champions passthrough and participatory grantmaking initiatives that cede decision-making power to grassroots and frontline communities in determining the best way to activate and inspire their communities to action.
