OUR PROGRAMS
Our Programs
The MSC Action Fund incubates and accelerates the work of our partners with whom we share radical values and philosophies. Our model rejects a one-size-fits-all approach by customizing programs and services to sustain each partner based on their unique advocacy needs. Our deep-rooted mutual connections seed a larger movement and ecosystem that fosters collaboration, cross-pollination, and evolution while disavowing the inherent systemic racism within the philanthropic community.
These efforts support campaigns and increase political engagement for electoral and social justice, and, our affiliated 501(c)(3) organization, Movement Strategy Center, can be used as a tool to amplify your impact with a multi-entity approach to build political power.
Fiscal Sponsorship
Our fiscal sponsorship program is uniquely designed to support and operationalize BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and women-centered and led projects, local and national organizing, and community-based strategies in order to secure progressive wins and transform our world. We use a network-centered approach that is relational and trauma-responsive. While most fiscal intermediaries offer a client-based approach, our services are designed to address a community’s need for resources and our infrastructure is focused on access and transparency. Our goal is to support our fiscally sponsored partners as they deepen their financial and operational knowledge in the service of expanding their advocacy’s impact and role in political change.

Special Interest Pooled Funds
Our Special Interest Pooled Fund program is an effort that works with donor groups who have collectively aligned values and want to address the growing need to support grassroots frontline work and advocacy for communities and groups who are limited in how they can access resources from funders who believe advocacy is a critical investment. It’s a simple yet innovative program that moves capital quickly and equitably while shifting power, discretion, and control from wealthy donors to community leaders.

Foundation Regranting
Our regranting program leverages resources for grassroots advocacy projects and communities who might otherwise lack access, by supporting institutional funders and donors who believe advocacy has the highest potential to transform systems and policies through creating a 501(c)(4) grantmaking program. Grounded in our experience as a hub for social justice movements, we have the ability to quickly and transparently move resources from funders to communities who face the greatest funding discrimination. Our approach is centered on equitable partnership, incubation, acceleration, and the ability to respond to the needs of specific groups rather than imposing artificial deadlines and processes. We also support philanthropy through conducting research, facilitating the design of new initiatives, evaluating RFPs and proposal guidelines for accessibility, and pushing anti-racist work in the field.
